Vedanta Yoga Nidra
Training & Certification
An ancient practice from the cave monasteries of the Himalayas.
Yoga Nidra is a vedantic practice that allows you to enter the depth of your being to
understand the relationship between your body, your mind, and the states of consciousness. The goal is greater inner awareness of who you are.
In that sense Yoga Nidra is not simply about removing superficial levels of tiredness and reducing stress. It is a much more profound level of relaxation and awareness
that integrates and brings into unity all levels of your personality, and reveals the
deep relaxed presence of your true Self.
Three Day Immersion: Friday • Saturday • Sunday
This 3-day training explores methods rarely taught outside the cave monasteries of the Himalayas. It leads students through a deeper insight of the foundations, philosophy, and practice of authentic Yoga Nidra.
Combining teachings from the Mandukya Upanishad, the ancient yoga text from which Yoga Nidra expounds with selected practices from the yoga sutra, this three-day immersion delivers a complete system for self-discovery that helps you:
-
Master sleep.
-
Gain control over the autonomic nervous system.
-
Improve memory and learning capacity
-
Dissipate worry, doubt, and fear.
-
Promote deep emotional and physical healing.
-
Reduce nervous disorders like anxiety and panic attacks.
-
Live with a greater sense of purpose and stability.
-
Provide moments of profound rest.
-
Manage pain, and aches associated with the aging process.
This training is open to all level practitioners, including absolute beginners to yoga.
Yoga teachers and other professionals will receive a teaching certificate upon course
completion (15 CE Units Yoga Alliance)
Yoga Nidra whispers to us: try less, BE more

"Beneath the ups and downs of everyday life there is a profound state of balance. Resting for brief periods in that balance state creates a resilient and stable mind, even in the face of stress. That's why each of us, on a deep level, craves relaxation -it revives our confidence and reawakens a sense of self control."
-Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.
Stages of Yoga Nidra
There are five-stages in Yoga Nidra, relaxation is just one component of the complete practice. Each stage requires care and attention, and is designed to facilitate the transition from one state of consciousness to another. From waking to dreaming, from dreaming to deep sleep.
Learning to make this transition deliberately results in a deep and restorative relaxation that quiets the senses and leads us beneath the restless surface of the mind, restoring inner harmony and peace that brings forth contentment, and stability into our life.
The Power of Transformation
This training is an opportunity to experience something profound
and life-changing.
Yoga Nidra aside from being a state of conscious sleep, is a remarkable system to access deeper realms of the subconscious, purify samskaras, the deep mental impressions that are the driving force behind your actions and behavior, and connect to the infinite.
I look forward to meeting you soon, and trust you will be able to join us at one of our live Vedanta Yoga Nidra trainings to experience firsthand how this profound and gentle practice can help you live a more relaxed, peaceful, and creative life.
With love,
Jeffrey Crespo

Emily Shearer, RYT 200
Jeffery was an extremely articulate, in-depth and thorough teacher, incorporating ancient teachings and philosophy with real-world knowledge and applicability. He even injected humor and his own sweet nature into the class. The information was intensely intellectually stimulating punctuated with long opportunities to practice the new information we were processing, and since it was information about Yoga Nidra, we got to go into deep relaxation that allowed all the details to be stored in our subconscious brains! Jeffery fused medium and message for a completely effective weekend course.
Anne Wright, E-RYT 200
Jeffrey’s Yoga Nidra Training was so much more than I expected - much more than “guided meditation.” He set the stage and led the class through preparation techniques both mental and physical to aid us in moving our awareness from waking to deep sleep. Purifying the mind, sharing abundance, welling over with compassion (Yoga Sutra Bk I:33) was modeled as it was reviewed and this was just the beginning. Jeffrey led a delighted class through a thoughtful and spiritual training. I look forward to studying meditation, and life, with Jeffrey in the future.
